G.K. Chesterton‘s short story “The Paradise of Thieves”, in the collection The Wisdom of Father Brown.

Our brief note: In this connection, in response to the opinion that judges value–whether of individuals or families, nations or religions–by material wealth or “success”, we recall the words of Christ our Lord:

“It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of heaven.” (St. Matthew 19:24)
